Google maps app for android phones has just recieved an update. This new update brings some new features. The app has now better tracking and aims to give better user experience.
The update now allows users to optimize the latitude functionality. With this, the application will consume considerably less battery power. This app can now use more accurate navigation system in case of no GPS connection and can also estimate the vehicle’s speed without GPS data. The application will now use the A-GPS or cellular connection along with the device’s inbuilt sensors to approximate the speed and motion of the vehicle, thereby offering navigation in places like tunnels, parking lots and the like. User can also report feedback to Google from the settings menu.
